Jin and Christopher hired me for a full 8 hours of coverage. As usual, I brought beautiful weather with me. We took care of almost all the portraits and groups before the ceremony, outside on a perfect weather day. The couple elected to forgo the proof book and bought the high resolution DVD and now own all the captured and created images images in high resolution. I personally took the many hours to edit, color correct, custom crop where enhancing, selective sharpen, minor retouching was applied and about 30 designs were created as well.

The image on the right was a combination of the ceremony program, interior layout pages and an image of the couple walking back down the aisle as man and wife. The initial image, of course, is also included on the DVD separately, without the overlay onto the program. I also overlayed a couple images onto the program cover as well.

I usually try and photograph a nice frame off the reception wall and insert a nice image of the couple, and on the banquet hall marquis there were four couple's names listed and I had enhanced multiple images where I removed all but the names of Jin and Chris on one, and shown to the right I inserted a portrait of the couple as well. What Fun! Just adding some fun to the digitally enhanced coverage!

Patricia and Steven chose to use my portrait rate for the photography of their wedding. With my portrait rate the number of images and the time are much more limited than my regular, event coverage, but the cost is very enticing in today's economy. See my pricing page for this special cost, or send me an e-mail for an explanation.

Al, Wow, I was checking the website and I see that some pictures are posted on your image blog. Will they be added to the "View Event Proofs" as well, in case anyone wants to order some copies? They look awesome! Best regards, Patricia. (Via E-mail 7/28/09)

Yes, all 132 images will be posted on the "View Event Proofs" button within a short time. Thanks for the nice comments! Al Brodsky

All images above (except for the center, bottom image on the July, American Turf Monthly magazine cover) I took during Kentucky Derby weekend, and were published during June and July of 2009. They all feature images of Derby winner, Mine That Bird and Kentucky Oaks and Preakness winner, Rachel Alexandra as Horses of the Month and as part of the July magazine cover. The July magazine cover was a first in 16 years for me in that I took only the top half of a cover, where the bottom half was photographed at the Preakness (which I have never attended) in Baltimore by some unspecified photographer working for a horse racing, photography stock house called Horsephotos.com.
